Dean & Amelia married in Swansea in late July this year.
When I got my first email from Amelia I got all excited reading about her plans for the big day. It went a little a something like this…..I’m getting married in Swansea on 30th July next year – a simple, basic day with a ceremony in the registry office, picking up some ice cream from Joes ice cream for the kids (and adults!) then enjoying them and some bubbles down mumbles pier by the boats (our wedding is nautical themed as we met in the navy), then an evening reception in Morgan’s hotel…….. Well it didn’t take me long to reply.
We soon met and that was it, a friend for life! It’s lovely meeting new couples and just instantly clicking with them, the process becomes even more enjoyable.
It was a small intimate wedding, no fuss just fun and laughter. The story of Amelia ‘s wedding dress shop illustrates just how chilled she is, basically it involved walking into the shop between the school run and weekly shop pointing at the dress, not trying it on and getting on with the rest of her busy schedule. Don’t get me wrong, Amelia’s planning for the day was extremely precise and every detail was thought out clearly and carefully (as you’ll notice in the detail of the reception room below). She is just a very busy working mother of 3 kids and who’s husband works away in maritime security- so when some girls in visage that shopping outing for THE dress that just wasn’t on the top of Amelia’s to do list that week.
As plans were finalising I hoped for dry weather in Swansea on July 30th…….As you’ll see from the images below the sun shone all day – Happy days!
Cake was made by Amelia who runs her own company : https://www.facebook.com/CJs-Dreamy-Cupcakes-134569316732086/?ref=br_rs
In her own words……..A good friend who grew up with Hannah recommended Rocksalt Photography but mentioned Swansea I may be a bit far away for Hannah to travel. As soon as we started emailing I instantly felt Hannah’s enthusiasm for our basic, personal wedding and was very pleased to hear she was willing to travel and photograph our day. I met Hannah at our mutual friends wedding and we instantly clicked which made me more excited about our wedding, especially after I saw the photographs from that wedding. I stalked Rocksalts amazing photos on Facebook and couldn’t wait to see what she created for us. Hannah arrived on the wedding day and with the hustle and bustle of the day I hadn’t noticed initially but she was already hard at work shooting our dresses and getting natural shots of everyone. Hannah was so easy going yet she knew the shots she wanted to capture and had the nicest way of getting us all where we needed to be to get them. As you can see from the pictures lots of fun was had and the moments Hannah has captured are just perfect! Hannah went above and beyond what we expected and I can’t praise her professionalism, hard work and easy going nature enough. And the pictures…………well, they speak for themselves. So many precious moments captured that have simply took my breath away. These pictures are our link to our amazing wedding day forever and I couldn’t have dreamed, asked or imagined anything more. Forever Thankyou!!!!!!! Rocksalt and Hannah……..you truly rock – Amelia xx
