Warning…..This wedding is so bloody cool after seeing it, I promise, you will want to do yours all over again….. I certainly did!
Ed + Jo had already married at Chester Zoo (yes, I know, makes you love them even more right)! I joined them for the blessing and celebrations at Ed’s family farm where Ed and Jo live to document the momentous occasion.
I get really excited when I meet a creative couple that throw all of their talents at their wedding. Jo and Ed run their own design company so I knew this wedding was going look amazing. They had brewed their own ale (8 different kinds to be exact) which was flowing all day along with the Elderflower Champagne that they had also made! They grew all of the flowers, made the table centre pieces, designed the labels on the beer bottles, the table plan, they made the bar for goodness sake!….. pretty much everything that was present at the wedding was designed and made by these guys!
It just looked blinkin’ ace! As I arrived the guests were pitching their tents in the field, ready to fall in to them later on after a belly full of ale!
In the house, the girls were upstairs, while the boys got ready downstairs. It was all so laid back and relaxed.
Ed + Jo arrived at the chapel in a vintage Morris Minor and walked down the aisle together after their bridesmaids and groomsmen where the blessing took place.
Canapés and drinks then commenced back at the farm before they sat for their lovely meal, then the speeches happened.
I then took them for wander in the surrounding fields where we set off some smoke bombs and did a bit of light jogging trying to avoid the rain showers!
Ed + Jo had a vision for their wedding which they brought to life with such style and grace. Did I mention that they both looked totally smokin’ too!
My day ended with their first dance which was secret…… as the curtain raised up revealing them to the rest of the marquee the whole place went crazy to the sound of Prince’s Purple Rain sang by one the best wedding bands I’ve ever heard – http://www.jukebox-band.co.uk
As I said my goodbyes I was ushered to the bar to take one of each ale home with me! I loaded my camera bag with booze and drove home with such excitement to get these images up on my screen!…….
