Lou was getting ready at the barns. It’s a charming setting despite the weather; her shoes were original and her dress a vintage gown from Rachel Burgess Bridal Boutique in Penarth.
I was lucky enough to have Samantha from Oh So Perfect planning the day, so everything was running on time and every detail was in its place.
After a lovely smooth morning we arrived at Castell Coch on time and ready to get married. (I won’t mention that the Lou forgot her bouquet at the barns, they were delivered in time for the photos after the ceremony – Phew!)
After an intimate and simple ceremony and a shoot at Castell Coch we headed back to Rose Dew Farm.
The wind had really picked up by now and it wasn’t warm to say the least! Lou and Rich didn’t seem to mind the cold and we got some lovely couple shots.
The features at the wedding were stunning, mostly all handmade by Louise, her friends and family. This sort of attention to detail makes the day so much more memorable. Samantha (Oh so Perfect) had tastefully placed everything in the barns and it looked magical.
The rain started with a vengeance whilst the guests were tucking into their wedding breakfast and carried on hammering down late into the evening. With the bridal party and guests warm and well-fed in the barns, any thought to the weather was long forgotten as everybody was dancing the night away!
