Gordon and Laura tied the knot on September 12th at St Donats Castle, South Wales.
I had the pleasure of having Charlie from Cwtch the Bride as my 2nd shooter, what a dream – We had such a giggle and her work is just beautiful. See her awesomeness here : is http://charlieleyaphotography.com/
My day started meeting up with the girls at The West House Country Hotel in Llantwit Major, they were all very chilled and having a good old girlie time. I could tell it was going to be a fun day from the very beginning.
I met both sides of the family who were so welcoming and warm, I has one happy Rocksalter!
Charlie headed to St Donats Castle to capture some boy prep and Castle gorgeousness.
We left the hotel, pretty much on schedule, with 1 taxi less than they were promised (silly taxi man)! But I had my set of wheels so the bridesmaids hitched a ride (after me frantically removing 2 child seats and bits of mashed up breadstick!)
We arrived at St Donats and the the heavens opened 🙁 ………….. But only for about 2 minutes, so all was fine. Not that it damped Laura’s spirits, she smiled throughout the whole downpour!
Laura walked down the aisle to a song that was special to the couple, Gordon had no idea what was going to play and got a little teary – the ceremony was utterly beautiful and emotional and happy.
Then it was time for a spot of fizz and hitting the beach!
Gordon had been on tide watch for me a couple of weeks before the wedding, so we knew it was best to get down there straight after the ceremony, so off we went. Laura was a real trooper scrambling over the rocks in her shoes and dress, Gordon helping by holing the veil although it may have looked like she was getting garrotted by onlookers!
Even their beloved pooch made it down to the beach for a few snaps!
Back up to the Castle for some fun with the bridal party and a few more groups.
The afternoon was glorious the sun shone and it felt like we could have been abroad!
Oooooo and I was fed the most delicious meal (thank you)!
We popped out to catch the sunset then it was time for me to head back to Mid Wales and for the newlyweds to dance the night away, which i’m sure they did in style.
Thank you so much Laura and Gordon for being so blummin amazing…..Big love xxx
Here’s what went down………
