You know that feeling you get when you hear a couples plan for their wedding and you think – I HAVE TO BOOK THIS ONE!? ……. No – well all wedding photographers know it, and I totally got it when Seamus + Sarah’s wedding enquiry dropped into my inbox.

Their initial enquiry mentioned Back to the Future, American Diner, 50s America and hints of the 80s – Eeeerrrrrm – YES PLEASE!
They totally had me at Back to the Future.
But I still needed to bag this one. I replied with enthusiasm, without trying to sound desperate – although I’m sure I did.
We arranged to meet and have a chat – Thinks got even more exciting after meeting Seamus and Sarah, they were funny, witty and so passionate about their wedding that I knew that it would be created amazingly and details would be perfect.
I left hoping I had come across semi normal and bookable!
Eeeeeeek! They booked – we kept in touch and I loved hearing about their plans as the months passed.
THE BIG DAY – Church ceremony the Coronation Hall in Kingsland
I was surprised when they told me they would be married in a church as the whole day wasn’t your average traditional wedding – but it was just perfect, the church was beautiful and filled with laughter – Sarah + Seamus didn’t take they’re eyes off each other and smiled throughout the service. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed Pimms and Welsh Cakes outside while I took a few shots of family, it such a chilled atmosphere – Just as they’d hoped.
The Hall looked utterly amazing – I could have shot in there for hours. An amazing Donut Wedding Cake, 50s Diner vibes throughout – all put together by friends and family who came from all over the UK.
The weather was kind – so everyone could be out on a field playing garden games.
Burgers were served followed by the most amazing shakes I ever did see. (Extra points for feeding me one of these)!
During the speeches after hearing Sarah had been blocked from Gary Barlows twitter account for pestering him so much – Seamus and his two besties got up on stage to perform a Take That song. It was so awesome, she didn’t have a clue it was going to happen – her favourite bit of the whole day.
First Dance time – and I was so excited for this – the band ‘The Spitefires’ (who were freaking amazeballs by the way) played Earth Angel that went into Johnny B. Goode – just like Marty Mcfly plays in Back to the Future at the Prom – I thought to myself ‘this couldn’t be more perfect an ending to my day’ – well until Sarah told me to take donuts and sweets home 🙂
S + S – I couldn’t have asked for more from you two – You completely rocked the whole wedding thang! Thank you for such an amazing day and for all of your kind words.
I loved everything about this wedding – MORE like this please!
