I looked forward to Hannah + Tom’s wedding from the moment they booked. Their wedding plans sounded pretty much exactly how I’d do it if I was to get married again…(no plans to do so right now)!
A small chilled out affair close to their home surrounded by their closest family and friends.
I began the day at Hannah’s family home for morning prep – the first thing I noticed (after receiving the most warmest of welcomes) was how close her family are, her Mum, Dad and brothers have such a close connection and it’s just an utter joy to watch. Hannah’s bridesmaids, it was obvious had been friends for years as they slipped into the family unit with ease.
When Hannah’s Dad saw his girl all ready to get married his reaction was completely overwhelming. I’ve got say, I’m a complete sucker for this part of the day. I lost my Dad before my wedding and these moments always get me totally emosh – I feel so privileged to have been part of so many of these gorgeous moments – My Dad was a complete softy, so I have no doubt he’d have cried like a good ‘un seeing me all wedding ready.
The ceremony and celebrations all took place at Bwyty Mawddach I’d never been to this venue before, but I plan to go back very soon.
Tom’s dad drove us up to some family farm land for photos after the ceremony – the views up there are absolutely incredible – we had such a giggle – Hannah loves to twirl and had THE perfect twirling dress – we made use of that!
The rest of the day we spent chilling at the venue – and were treated to a beautiful sunset.
Hannah + Tom – thanks so much to you both and your lovely families – I had such a warm welcome from you all.
